Volleyball Referee Timer

Tutorial:
Coin Flips

Disclaimer: Using an electronic device to simulate a coin flip (or coin toss) may not be allowed by some organizations. This is most useful in a situation such as a more informal recreational league, where the work team is also one of the playing teams and might not have a coin handy.

While using a physical coin is always preferred, if you don’t have a coin handy, Volleyball Referee Timer provides an electronic coin. If you must use an electronic coin, it is highly recommended that you verify with both teams (coaches) that using the electronic coin is acceptable.

Note: Great care has been taken to verify that this feature simulates a so-called “fair coin” mathematically.

When you start the warmup timer, you see a dim coin on the right, above the countdown time.

To do a coin toss, tap on the coin.

The coin will animate a coin toss and show either Heads or Tails.

When you are done with the coin tap it to hide it.

The last coin toss will be dimmed in the upper-right corner.
During the interval between sets, when an even number set is next, no coin will display, since it cannot be a deciding set.
