Maximizing the Strength of Haptic Feedback (Vibrations)

Volleyball Referee Timer will remind you of upcoming events during timers, such as when to blow a whistle, or remind coaches about lineups. It does this using the watch’s haptic feedback (vibrations). To help make sure you feel these vibrations on your wrist, you may want to increase the strength of the vibrations. NOTE: these steps can also be done on the Watch app on the associated iPhone.

Start by going to the Watch Settings.
Tap on Sounds & Haptics.
Make sure Haptic Alerts is on.

Tap Prominent.

This will maximize that strength of the vibrations.

Also, make sure your Apple Watch is snug on your wrist. But don't cut off your circulation! 😁

Also, if you don't want your watch to make sounds, put it in Silent Mode. To do this:

Pre WatchOS 10WatchOS 10 or later
  • On your watch face, swipe up to bring up Control Center.
  • Tap the bell icon with the slash.
  • Swipe down to return to the watch.
  • (Reverse this to turn sounds back on).
  • Press the watch button (next to the crown) to bring up Control Center.
  • Tap the bell icon with the slash.
  • Press the watch button (next to the crown).
  • (Reverse this to turn sounds back on).
