Volleyball Referee Timer

For Apple Watch

Tutorial:
Deciding Sets

When you are using a ruleset that changes sides, Volleyball Referee Timer helps you track information for the teams on your left and right. When teams change sides between sets, the information will automatically change sides.

For a deciding set, you may need to adjust where the teams’ information is displayed, based on the results of the coin toss.

If you are using a ruleset that does not change sides, the only thing you’ll need to worry about out which team will serve first in the deciding set.

In this example, Yellow won set 1, and Blue has just won set 2. Tap the right side of the Interval button to record the win for Blue and start the timer for the Interval.
The timer for the Interval between sets 2 and 3 starts. Note that the team colors have switched sides and Yellow will serve first in set 3.

Perform the coin toss.

If the teams will stay where they ended set 2, swipe left or right to swap the team colors back.

Verify that the team to serve first in set 3 is correctly indicated in the team color box.

Tap the circled arrow on the lower right to change the serving team.

At the start of the deciding set, it is a good idea to double-check and be sure the team colors are on the correct sides, and the correct serving team is indicated.

If necessary, swipe to swap the team colors, and tap the circled arrow to change the serving team.

When the teams have reached the halfway point in the deciding set, swipe to swap the sides the teams are on.
There are several places where you can swipe to swap the sides the team colors are on:
  • When timing Warmups
  • On this Timers screen
  • When timing Intervals
